I had trouble deciding on this one.  The first picture is a wooden pencil cup

painted by my mom in a Norwegian style called "rosemaling".

The second picture:  1950s era Pyrex refrigerator dish (perfect size for leftovers)

but I use it to hold Sadie's treats

I'm so fascinated by cactus blooms.  If you've ever grown cactus, 

you know that it takes a whole year to cycle around until they bloom again.  

And when it finally happens, you have to hope to catch it!  

Because so many of them only bloom for a day or two, 

then  they're done for another year!

Chihuly is a glass blower who makes sculptures that are a must see to believe!
