Across the Water

Across the Water

A lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature.
It is earth's eye; looking into which the beholder
measures the depth of his own nature.  ~Henry David Thoreau

Horse

Horse Along the Path

“A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves
 -strong, powerful, beautiful -
and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.”
- Pam Brown

Tree by Water

Tree by Water

“Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.”
-Kahlil Gibran

Red Mountain Park, Mesa, AZ
I thought this was a very interesting tree, the way it fanned out,
with the water in the background.  After I snapped the pic,
I noticed the fisherman there... I liked that!!

“No love, no friendship can cross the path of our destiny
without leaving some mark on it forever.”

Live life fully while you're here.
Experience everything.
Take care of yourself and your friends.

Reflections

Both pictures, same locale, same time, different camera settings.
I like how the first picture looks frosty, austere,
and the second picture is warm.
Just goes to show how much color brings into our lives.

Golden Tree

Golden Tree

For in the true nature of things,
if we rightly consider,
every green tree is far more glorious
than if it were made of gold and silver.

Goose on Pond

"Sometimes opportunities float right past your nose.
Work hard, apply yourself, and be ready.
When an opportunity comes, you can grab it.

Rabbit

When it comes to Animal totems, Rabbit wants us to learn
how to face our fear and know when to defend our space
or walk away.  Rabbit shows us that defending ourselves
doesn't always involve fighting back.
He teaches us to listen carefully to what is going on in
our environment so we can accurately
use our intuition when in danger.

(Riparian Preserve is full of wild rabbits,
and on quiet days, they can be seen all over!)

The Path

No one saves us but ourselves.
No one can and no one may.
We ourselves must walk the path.
-Buddha
